San Francisco Porn Powerhouse Raging Stallion Studios has added two new studs to it's stable of exclusive stars with the addition of Twink phenomenon Chris Porter and British heart throb Kennedy Carter.  Both actors were initiated into the studio’s lineup with a scene pairing with international superstar and RSS exclusive D.O.

San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios re-signed its top two performers, Angelo Marconi and Austin Wilde, to exclusive performance contracts for the 2010-2011 production season during the just held Phoenix Forum. Both stars, along with a gaggle of young men from FabScout Entertainment, represented Raging Stallion at the recently held industry event.

San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios set a new record with a total of 42 nominations spread across nearly every category for the upcoming (Memorial Day Weekend) Grabby Awards. Handed out every year during IML, the Grabby Awards are the major awards celebration for the Gay Porn Industry.

Raging Stallion president Chris Ward today announced that long time RSS superstar Steve Cruz has been named as his principal videographer, a prestigious position formerly held by such luminaries as Lester Moore, Leif Gobo, Ben Leon, Tony DiMarco and David Hempling.   Steve's debut as videographer is in the upcoming Tales of the Arabian Nights, one of the biggest porn production of the year.  Arabian Nights was co-directed by Ben Leon and Chris Ward, with Cruz doing all the videography work for the Chris Ward part of the movie.

A summary of the plot :In San Francisco, Joe (Cole Streets) is a porn- obsessed twenty-something who loves to film his hot boyfriend Eddie (David Taylor, Raging Stallion’s Man of the Year 2010) having sex. Eddie is not interested in being filmed, but that doesn't stop Cole! The plot thickens as someone e-mails him a clip of Dario Stefano (Steve Cruz), his favorite porn star, in a private home video. When Eddie’s “costars” start turning up dead, Joe finds himself on a deadly disturbing adventure that he himself might not survive!

The edited version of Focus/ReFocus will be available through all major retailers.

San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios once again took top honors on the Mannet.com's list of best films of 2009, garnering a record 18 individual movies on the prestigious list. Butch Harris, editor of Mannet.com ("gay erotica's best click") has published his top 100 list for 13 years. A quick scan thru past lists is an excellent way to view the history of Gay Porn. Raging Stallion first appeared on this list ten years ago (the studio was founded in 1999 by Chris Ward and JD Slater). Raging Stallion has dominated the list for the past several years.

Raging Stallion Studio Head Chris Ward announced that blond heart throb David Taylor and dark and handsome power-fucker Austin Wilde will jointly serve as the 2010 Raging Stallion Men of the Year, a position previously held by such legendary superstars as Steve Cruz, Jake Deckard, Michael Brandon, Roman Ragazzi, Shane Rollins, Ricky Sinz, and Tom Vacarro.  It is one of the top honors in the Gay Porn Industry.

The announcement was made at the annual Raging Stallion Folsom Street Fair party in San Francisco, an event co- sponsored by Naked Sword and AEBN.  The annual get-together attracts everybody who is anybody in the Gay adult industry and is one of the high points of the Folsom Street Fair weekend.  Well over 100 porn stars from all major studios attended the party.

San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios today announced the release of Stag Fight, the first video from Stag Homme Studios, a new, cutting edge company founded and owned by superstars Damien Crosse and Francesco D’Macho.  Stag Fight will be released under Raging Stallion Releasing, the venerable studio's new independent producer distribution division. San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios today announced the release of Private Resort: Boys In The Sun.  This release marks the launch of an entire new video line for the powerhouse studio that in the past has featured more mature guys in all of its productions.  Private Resort stars Raging Stallion Exclusive Ryan Razz and a cast of young, hung studs.  The focus is on good looking young men and well filmed fucking.   Private Resort will be released for wholesale orders on Monday, August 31.

Well, this is not true at all with this film. Rather, the models cast are much more athletic, in their early 20's and as I like to call them....young athletic males. More like the college jock rather than the skinny young guy.  The Twink genre truly spans a wide range of model types and for this line of films we are focusing on casting more athletic young men.
 
Everyone on this film worked so well together and the chemistry between the models really comes through in every scene.  The entire film was shot on location at the beautiful Coral Reef gay guest house in Fort Lauderdale, which made for a great tropical setting for the boys to play in. It has been 10 years since JD SLATER turned his creative focus towards an ever-evolving musical experiment, the results of which have produced a new and unique universe of soaring rhythms and soulful melodies. GB) Your last couple of CDs featured primarily ethnic and tribal-based pieces but 'Western Skies' seems to have a much more American feel to it. Was that "the point" of this release?

JDS) Not initially, but this collection went through a lot of changes on its way here...at first I just knew I wanted an acoustic jam band sound...like just a bunch of guys in a bar or around a campfire. As it developed, the influences became decidedly more Western, with the exception of "PUNCHDRUNK," which is a straight up Coltrane tribute. There were probably a dozen wildly different versions that I assembled before I finalized the set list. Ultimately it became this guitar ode to the Western dream with tangents into jazz and indigenous traditional music. What makes the diverse elements work as a whole is that all the songs have the same sense of immediacy, like they have just been played for the first time.

GB) Well you achieved a very real organic sound and feel... Is that how you recorded it?

JDS) Hell no! These are all a product of modern computer magic and an obsessive musical multiple personality. The wonders of digital programming provide me with the ability to play all the instruments I hear in my head without actually having to deal with either them or other musicians. It’s for the better; I work best alone on these projects.

GB) Who are some of the artists you looked to for inspiration this time around?

JDS) Chris Isaak, Ry Cooder, Neil Young, Herbie Hancock. Peter Gabriel and U2. Also, the mix is conceptually very Brian Eno/Daniel Lanois based, but I didn't want a "studio" sound. I tried to give it as natural an ambient and spatial sound as possible to enhance the improvised mood.

GB) How long have you been working on this, and what’s the average time it takes you to write a song?

JDS) I have been working on this CD off and on for 18 months, which is a long time for me. All the tracks were based on pieces originally written for four different soundtracks that I worked on in 07/08 and I just kept rewriting and rearranging them till I felt they had fully matured as a well-defined, comprehensive statement. As far as the individual song question goes, they can take anywhere from 8 hours to 8 months, depending on the complexity of the piece. Some come to me in a neat little package while others are more raw. They come in dribs and drabs; those are the hardest to tell when they are done.

GB) Why do you think this one took so long to finish?

JDS) The CD it is following ("NAKED") was an amazing hit when it released and I wanted its successor to be just as special while being completely distinctive, so it took a bit longer to find its own identity. I also have the luxury of being one of the co-founders of my distributor (RAGING STALLION STUDIOS) so I am under no sort of deadline pressure. Plus I hate repeating myself. I don't release anything until it has something new about it and I am sure it’s right...It is my greatest luxury, thanks primarily to STALLION co-founder CHRIS WARD's unwavering support. I am very happy with the finished product. It is a cohesive musical statement and another stylistic frontier crossed.

GB) As your music has evolved over the years, you have gone from standard song lengths, patterns, and arrangements to much longer compositions and texturally experimental pieces that are very atmospheric. Many times there seems to be a dramatic quality to them, like you are telling a story in song. How much of that is intentional?

JDS) All of it, actually. When I write, there is always a movie playing in my head that I am trying to interpret. For example, many times when you hear two lead instruments riffing on each other, that is actually a dialogue between characters, or dramatic changes in rhythm can signify major plot points. What amazes me is that it creates a wholly subjective mindset where everyone can imagine their own scenarios. I really wish for the music to wash over the listener like a Tantric tidal wave, engulfing both his body and spirit in its mysterious sensual sea.

GB) Do you know when you start a song where it is headed?

JDS) Sometimes, but it’s more fun to let the piece reveal itself to you as you layer in the instruments and effects. The end results are very often a total surprise to me.

GB) What is the source of your inspirations?

JDS) Luckily I have led a wildly colorful life which normally provides me with tons of source material, but for this CD, the sense of romance and intimacy can probably be traced to a gentleman named SANFORD SHAPIRO, my husband since last year. He is the rocket that made these melodies fly.

GB) So what is next for you?

JDS) Haven't a clue! To be honest, I didn't expect to get this far. That’s OK though. I love surprises.

GB) Any final words?

JDS) I just wish to humbly thank everyone who has let my music become part of their personal playlists.

San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios today announced the casting for Focus/Refocus, its huge fall blockbuster film.  With a budget of $177,000, Focus/Refocus is the single largest gay porn production of the year. Newcomer Cole Streets has been selected to play the lead role in this four-disc film noir epic to be shot in and around San Francisco. David Taylor, Steve Cruz, and Bruno Bond have been cast as the principal supporting actors. Superstars Ricky Sinz, Scott Tanner, Ryan Raz, Austin Wilde, Wilfried Knight, Adam Killian, Jason Crew, Francesco D’Macho, Damien Crosse, Tristan Jaxx, Conner Habib, and Alejandro Fernandez are also cast in the film, making this one of the most impressive casts of all time.  Several new names will also be introduced.

Cole Streets was thrilled to be given the lead role in the film. “I can hardly believe it! Chris, Ben, and Tony have put a great deal of trust in me to carry the lead role in this movie. It’s going to be a challenge, but I am excited and can’t wait to get started. Now I just have to memorize fifty pages of dialogue!”

Focus/Refocus is an expansive crime drama that builds on Raging Stallion’s big movie tradition. The studio won Best Picture awards for last year’s To The Last Man and for the 2008 film, GRUNTS.  Focus/Refocus will also be directed by the award-winning team of Ben Leon, Tony Dimarco, and Chris Ward.

The sixty-page “Focus/Refocus” script was written by Dan Rhodes.  There are some significantly controversial elements in this film that will raise eyebrows. To The Last Man generated controversy because of the high level of violence in the film. Focus/Refocus is also shocking in many ways, but most of the deaths that occur in this crime drama take place off screen. Even so, the grand finale of this movie will be one of the most controversial scenes yet released by a major studio. Actors and crew have been sworn to secrecy on all aspects of this final scene.

Focus/Refocus will be released Thanksgiving weekend, 2009.

San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios today announced that director Tony Dimarco's two-disc feature film The Visitor has surged in weekend sales to be the biggest release so far for 2009.  Company president Chris Ward was excited about the numbers:  "We are very pleased with initial sales figures for The Visitor.  These numbers make me wonder if the recession is really coming to an end!"  When asked why The Visitor was selling so well, Ward suggested that there were several reasons.  "There is not that much new product out on the market, so a new top-end film is going to get a large share of attention.  Also, Logan McCree (this year's GayVN Performer of the Year) is a huge draw--he is the top porn star in the industry today." Ward also noted that Tony Dimarco films always perform very well.  

The Visitor is a very ambitious film that is filled with high-end special effects.  Some scenes recall the mainstream film "Minority Report."  The Visitor is a major film in Dimarco's career.

Dimarco had this to say about his new hit film: "Logan McCree is a great performer and consummate professional. I’ve worked with Logan for over a year now and we have a great creative relationship, which started with 'The Drifter' which just won Best Picture at the 2009 Grabby Awards. I think we have very similar tastes and are passionate about what we are trying to achieve in the films that we make.  In the past, we’ve had many conversation about the kinds of films we like, our musical taste, view on life, etc.; The Visitor developed out of  those discussions."

Which is very different from the big films that I’ve made in the past. It’s a film that relies heavily on the visual, I like to think of myself a visual director and Logan I think is a very visual performer, so I think it was a perfect combination."

San Francisco-based Raging Stallion Studios today announced that it is cutting the suggested retail price for all extreme hardcore products to $39.99, a reduction of $30 from the previous SRP. San Francisco porn powerhouse Raging Stallion Studios today announced that its Blockbuster film, To The Last Man, is now officially sold out. The studio sold all 5,000 units of the initial run early this week, with strong orders from Europe leading the charge. Normally a 5,000 unit run will last eight to twelve months, even for a hit movie. The numbers being seen on To The Last Man orders are extraordinary--significantly stronger even that GRUNTS, which was the top selling movie of 2008. The studio has placed an emergency re-order and expects wholesale shipping to resume by Friday, January 16. Retailers and customers who ordered the movie on or before Monday, January 12, will see their orders arrive on time.

San Francisco based Raging Stallion Studios received more nominations than any other gay studio for the annual XBIZ industry awards, a show which will be held on February 12 in Hollywood at Boulevard 3. The awards show coincides with the XBIZ 2009 Conference at the Warner Center Marriot in Woodland Hills. The XBIZ awards recognize achievement in the adult industry and covers both online and traditional sides of the business.

RSS received a total of ten awards in 5 categories, meaning that the studio will be competing against itself as much as against other companies. To The Last Man, Raging Stallion's big-budget fall blockbuster, was nominated for best picture, and all three of its directors (Chris Ward, Tony Dimarco, and Ben Leon) were nominated for best director.
